We had a windy weekend, and the cold is starting to penetrate through the house. I have been keeping the heat turned off, but it is only a matter of days until I can't hold out anymore. I wonder when the tree will start to lose leave and start to get ready for winter. I suppose it is starting to thin out already...

This picture was taken on one of the glorious days that we had earlier in September. The tree is looking full and alive. Now that we have had a few windy storms and some cooler weather, I expect the next picture to be minus a few leaves. I'll try to get out there this week sometime.

Back to School

As I get ready to go back to school and start the next year, I think about the cycles as they continue. There is comfort in knowing what is to come and what to expect, and the excitement lies in the fact that you can never be truly sure about the future. The cycles of our life repeat, yet they are never really the same again.
